A frequently requested item for Flash is the ability to see a grid over your artwork on the Stage. Flash CS4 now lets you do just that using a new option in the Edit Grid dialog. Let’s look at the change, which you might not have noticed yet because it’s turned off by default. Keep reading to learn how.

So in previous versions of Flash, you could show a grid on the Stage but you were limited to the following:

Go to View > Grid > Edit Grid and select the “Show over objects” option in the dialog:

Select the Show over objects option

As soon as you do that, the grid is placed over the objects on the Stage.

Now the grid is on top of the 'coon.

Now the grid is on top of the 'coon.
